What is Blushing Linked To?

When an individual suffers with a frequent onset of blushing in the neck and facial areas they are considered to be experiencing blushing “attacks”. While this is not uncommon in the US, many have no idea what the onset of blushing is actually linked to.

Blushing occurs when the nerves in the face and neck are stimulated by any given emotion. For some people it only occurs when they are embarrassed, shocked or shy. In others the condition may arise due to environmental entities such as heat or their particular surroundings. And then we have the individuals who suffer from blushing attacks regardless of what situation they may be in or what emotion they are feeling.

While there are many products being offered that supposedly “cure” the onset of blushing, doctors and dermatologists are constantly looking for more proactive, effective ways to rid of the condition in an individual. Right now, every product is not guaranteed to work on every person suffering from blushing attacks. However, new products are constantly being developed, tested and put out on the market for use by those who have nothing else to reduce or eliminate their blushing attacks.

While blushing is not necessarily a bad thing, those who cannot control the condition find it rather difficult to build self-esteem within them to overcome the condition. The number one cause of blushing, as of right now, is believed to be social anxiety. In many cases, social anxiety is responsible for more than half of blushing attacks experienced by any individual.
